Avoca and the streets around it are classic established Bundaberg family suburbia: solid brick homes on blocks with enough backyard for a patio plus a bit of lawn for the kids. That makes it one of our busiest patio areas. The common request is a 30 to 40 square metre attached alfresco off the family or dining room, big enough for the table, the barbecue and a lounge setting, where families actually live through the warmer half of the year. We design the patio to leave usable lawn rather than swallow the whole yard.

Sheltered, but still Region C.

Being inland and shielded by neighbours, most Avoca blocks assess lower than the coast, often around N3 under AS 4055. That is still Wind Region C, so the engineering is real, just not as heavy as an exposed Bargara or Branyan site. We size and certify every Avoca patio to its assessed classification with Form 15 and Form 16, so it passes the building approval and stands up to a summer storm. Lower wind class usually means a slightly keener price too, which we will explain on the quote.
