The thing that sets Branyan apart is exposure. On open acreage with little shielding from neighbours or trees, the wind classification under AS 4055 climbs, so a Branyan block can assess at C2 or even C3 within Wind Region C, well above a sheltered suburban site. That is not a detail to skip: the bracket gauge, the post size, the beam, the purlin spacing and the footing depth all step up accordingly. An undersized inland-spec kit on an exposed Branyan block is a genuine risk in a strong blow, which is exactly why we assess the real exposure and engineer to it with certified Form 15 and Form 16.
Bigger structures for bigger blocks.
Acreage homes tend to want acreage-scale outdoor structures: a wide gable patio or wrap-around verandah that suits the rural setting, often 50 square metres or more. A raked gable both looks right against a big sky and vents the heat on a still day. We also build a lot of high-clearance carports out here for caravans, boats, trailers and machinery, on deeper footings to match the wind and the heavier roof spans.

Branyan’s soils move with the season, so footing depth and pad size matter as much as the steel above them. We design bored pier footings to the soil and the assessed wind class rather than dropping in a standard depth and hoping.
